Siilah had been given an unusual task from the nobs.

"Cleen da wull ob Orgammar." She looked up at the impressive structure, rag and bucket in hand. She was going to need more soap.

Starting at the top, she began working her way down, coming to a large amount of graffiti, both goblin (female goblins in hotrods), and in trollish "Garrosh is a large pile of" something, her understanding of troll not fluent enough to understand the words following.

The only thing to entertain her through her task, other than learning new and colorful language, was the comings and goings of a number of goblins. Some had barrels, some had sacks, and an orc who looked familiar. She recognised them shortly, the orc that offered tasks to help with cooking.

For three hours she worked, enduring harassment from some local unread, joking at her expense, and distraction from the goblins and that orc making their way in and out and in and out. Something was going on there.

Slipping to the shadows and leaving her now black rag behind, she slunk to the place that the barrels were being left. One goblin was there, muttering to himself strangely.

"So far so good, boss. The orc's under watch, but you know how it is." One of the barrels near him suddenly popped open, and a second, rich-looking goblin suddenly seemed obvious, the shadows having masked him well. Peering inside, the goblin sneak began to claw the rice that was held there aside, pulling out a bag. He poked it as he replied.

"Good work, boys. This here is better work than we expected." Siilah could see what was going on here. The goblins were carting in hidden items in the rice. But where to, and where from, were two different questions.

"Keep it up!" The rich 'boss' seemed to fade, his voice calling out in echo. As the henchmen began to scuttle back onto their task, Siilah followed silently, intrigued. She watched as they wandered through the city, nodding at other goblins hidden in shadow, or at goblins milling about in plain sight.

Spotting the orc cook, she paused. He was acting suspiciously, talking to some shady goblins in the Drag. Listening to him made things clearer, goods were being smuggled out of the Drag to somewhere that the orc didn't intend to find out. Quickly, Siilah made her way to the goblin slums, checking the barrels stealthily, testing inside to make sure that the barrels were legitimate or not.

Interestingly, the smugglers barrels were notched with a series of scratches, the orc cook grazing them on the sly with his cleaver. As he began to leave, she followed, not pausing or giving thought to it as he entered an alley nearby, and stopped. The street was silent.

"I'm not with them, but I gather you aren't either. You want to know more, and I need an outside agent that these goblins don't know about. I know you're there, and so far you haven't attacked me, so I'm going to assume you're interested." His eyes would roam the alley, though if he saw her, he gave no sign. "I need you to help me with flushing out their boss."

At a sound, he would begin to make his way off again, leaving Siilah confused. She did want to help... heading back to the slums, she waited, watchful, thinking. An idea came to her.

Coating one of her smaller daggers with enough poison to knock a kodo into the Emerald Dream, she then began to systematically knock out each suspicious-looking goblin she came across. Unfortunately, given all goblins eventually begin to look suspicious one way or another, she was sure that some 'innocents' had been caught in the crossfire.

Amazingly, the goblins were so focused in their tasks that none even reacted. As their numbers thinned, and the unconscious pile of bodies began to rise, the goblin 'boss' could suddenly be heard, complaining loudly about missing workers. As he carried on, however, the cook began to return, some guards in tow.

"Your laundering is over, 'boss'!" His voice accusing, the cook pointed, even as he was rejected outright. "Fat chance, bub! Get 'em, boys!" Laughing at the sudden fight, the goblin boss dove off for the shadows, leaving his few remaining flunkies to handle the fighting. To her delight, he ran straight for her.

Her arm came up in a perfect swing, catching the boss in a clothesline from hell, her small size an advantage for once. As the goblin crumpled, the cook finished fighting his way through, roughed up but still standing despite the chaos of panicking smugglers.

"You're coming with us, 'bub'." Grabbing the boss roughly, the orc barked at the groggy goblin. He then looked Siilah in the eye. His voice was quieter.

"Thank you." And then, he was gone. The guards were less than thorough, leaving some unnoticed unconscious goblins and a number of notched barrels with her as they finished their haul. It took her a second to realise it, they -had- been forgotten. She'd be a poor sneek'r indeed if she didn't do something about that.

Waking one of the goblins, she began to very carefully set out her instructions in no uncertain terms...

"That good, boss?" Siilah sat back, sipping the juice she had purchased with the proceeds, the goblin at her elbow passing her in his way to the wall, bucket of water in hand.

She just nodded, turning her attention back to her drink. She had made sure that the lion's share had gone to the Clan's vault, but the last of it was her secret to enjoy.

((sorry for taking so long and being off line. there was a death in my family last week))
