In this post I attempt to clear up some confusion and assist the players here with understanding how certain game mechanics function.

Developer Post Tracker

Public Quests

Public quests are all over the place. You can tell you're in a public quest area because the tracker will appear with info about the current task.

Once all stages of a public quest have been completed, a treasure chest will appear and everyone that participated will get a roll to see if they win a loot bag. If you aren't interested in any loot from this quest, you can opt out of the roll (and thus give everyone else a better chance of getting loot), by clicking on the treasure chest icon that appears on the Public Quest Tracker. You will need to opt out before the PQ has been completed.

Joining Scenarios

To join a scenario, simply click on the little round button sticking off the left side of the mini-map. This will bring up a window telling you what the local scenario is and allowing you to join solo or as a party. If you join as a party, everyone in your immediate party (but not the entire warband) will join the queue with you. Since the join as group option is not limited to the party leader, please ask permission before queuing everyone in your party for a scenario.

Starting at Tier Three, there will be more than one scenario-type available to join. Use the arrows next to the map in the scenario popup window to see the other options. There is also now an option to join all scenarios for all the zones without your current Tier. You will be placed into the first one that becomes available.

Guild Taxes and Tithes

Guild taxes are set by the guild master and are currently set to 50%. This means that 50% of all looted money will be deposited into the guild bank, while 50% goes into your pocket. Taxes are not taken out of quest rewards or when selling items to vendors.

Note: The message you see when looting seems to be confusing some people. When taxes are in place, you are not told the total amount of money looted. You are simply told the amount you get and the amount you send to the guild bank. The total of the two numbers is how much your total money loot was.

If you wish to contribute looted money to the guild above and beyond what is taken via taxes, you can set your own personal tithing rate. To do this, hit 'G' to open up the guild window and click on the Rewards tab. Click on the tithe text to set your personal tithe percentage. As with taxes, this only affects money looted from corpses.

Guild and Alliance Auctions

Useful Greenskins items, crafting materials and crafted items will be placed on the guild-only auctions for low costs to anyone in the guild. Visit any Auctioneer and search the guild-only auctions to see what is available.

We also have a deal with our alliance guilds to offer items to other members of the alliance at low prices. Select the Guild and Alliance option from the filters to see what is available.

The Viper's Pit

The Viper's Pit is a building only accesible to guild members that can be found in the Inevitable City, on a small island just NE of the main, central area. Inside you will find vendors that sell cheap crafting components, recall scrolls that return you to the Viper's Pit, and renown gear. There is also a flight master located in a side room towards the back on the left.

In-game Guild Calendar

To view the in-game calendar, hit 'G' to open up the guild window and then click on the calendar tab. Everyone except for Dum Gits can create an event on the in-game calendar. When you do so, enter the event times based on your own time zone. The calendar automatically adjusts and displays the appropriate local time for other players.

To sign up for an event, simply double-click the listing and then hit the sign up button. This is a useful habit to get into so that the trip leader can have some idea of what the turnout might be and plan accordingly.

Be sure to check the show for alliance box if you want to invite members of our alliance guilds along for the event.

Warband Functionality

To create a warband, you must first have a party. When you have a party formed (all you need is one other character), right-click on the portrait of one of the other members of your party (ie, not yourself) and select the form warband option.

By default, newly created parties and warbands are open. This means that anyone can join. The quickest way to join an existing Shadowclan warband is by typing the following command:

/join <NAME OF ANY PLAYER IN THE WARBAND>

You do NOT need to ask for an invitation.

The leader of a warband may assign assistants to help them with organization. To create an assistant for the warband, type the following command:

/warbandpromote <PLAYER NAME>

This player then becomes a warband assistant. They are able to invite players into the warband (though this is really unneccesary if the warband is open), and can also move players around between the parties.

/warband - This command will keep your warband open but limit it to guild and alliance members only.

Locating other players in your Warband

Hit 'M' to open your map. Other characters that are in the same party and the same zone as you should be displayed as little green dots on the mini-map and the main map.

Mastery Points

Starting at level 11, players get Mastery points that they can use to make certain abilities stronger and to purchase new, Mastery-specific abilities. To choose where yo put your Mastery points, visit any Career trainer.

Each point spent in a certain Mastery will increase the effectiveness of all abilities shown on the right side of that Mastery tab. The abilities shown in the vertical column on the left must be specifically purchased and cost one Mastery point each.

Equipment Display

You can hide your cloak and helment by opening up your paperdoll ('P'), hovering over the item and then unchecking the box in the upper left corner of that item slot. You can choose to display the guild heraldry on your cloak by checking the box in the upper right corner of the cloak slot.

Note: All Shadowclan characters of Dum Git and Runtee rank must have their cloak hidden at all times.

Well that cleared a couple things up. Thanks Azh. Now I need to learn about tactics and morale...

When spending Mastery points, you have to spend an extra point to get each additional tactic or ability-you don't get them automatically

<Ooops, didn't see Azh mention that already>

Re Scenarios:- You now have more than 1 scenario available at tier 1.
The scenarios are no longer linked to what zone/pairing you are currently in. ie If in ekrund you can now select the chaos/human T1 scenario

Multi-queing for every scenario causes them to pop really really fast, i am greatly pleased.

I was able to do back to back scenarios in Tier2 every 2 minutes or so... at 2AM!

This link has most of the influence rewards (including ORvR ones) If one is named but not linked on the site I'd suggest copy pasting the item to wardb.com.

The potions you can buy with Officer medallions are on a different timer than the ones made by crafters. So you can drink 2 healing potions, one right after the other as long as they are different types. I have surprised many a Witch Hunter or Wild Stuntie with a quick recovery of around 3300 health after their initial attack knocks me down or silences me! SKAH OWF YU BUGGERZ! HAR!
