Yeah I found the skin color option when rerolling to a rogue. There is a greyish-green color that is probably the same one you are talking about.

Killing things fast seems like the way to go. I'm using a lot less potions with my rogue so far compared to the guardian.

Yeah, I hear that. Guardian is really rough until you get to level 10. Then it gets a little too easy because you can block and attack at the same time. Then at 40ish it gets rough when you DPS drops compared to HP pools. level 59 I can't do solo quests, going to ding from invocation.

I think that's the same colour I used as well it is a darkish grey/green. my cleric is around level 11, man low level healing is rough!

This may be a stupid question, but how do I use stealth with the rogue? Is it a skill that I get later after I level more? Or is it some obscure keybind that doesn't show up in options? I didn't see it listed in the skill tree.

Yes it becomes your "tab" ability at level 10.

It's a little too OP, had some one training around 20+ orcs in the tower district and hiding and the orcs aggroing unsuspecting people. But yeah it makes for a lot of rogue stuff to be even better, plus some survivability!

I'm almost level 15, or I may be. I always forget my level :/. K'Dah whenever you're ready to form a guild let me know Very Happy

Once we get a guild, we can have a guild bank. Then I can dump all of my extra stuff in there for others to use - like dungeoneering kits, heal potions that I've outgrown, crafting materials that I don't plan to use, etc.

Excellent! Honestly the game is very reliant in astral diamonds, so if it's required for the GBank I'll donate some! Also it'll give us a place to put a bunch of enchantments, they take up a lot of space. There's 9 different ones and there's 6 or 7 ranks of them. Sadly the bank space per character is extremely limited so I've been throwing away a bunch of lower ranked ones but it'll give us some room to improve our gear!

I just hit level 20. Don't know what levels you guys are at, I want to try and keep it around yours so we can group up and do dungeons and stuff! Don't know if it scales levels (of a spread larger than 5) in dungeons or if it just makes it lame for someone.

MY CW (Gozgob) is level 10 or 11. I must say it is a bit challenging so far, particularly in the Tower area with the large groups of orcs. I think I just don't have all of the spells I need yet for a good aoe rotation, so I spend quite a bit of time blinking around to try to avoid damage. Maybe I need to change which spell I have in the mastery slot (currently have the "Darth Vader choke spell" but maybe Chill Strike would be better as that would give me more aoe).

I found that area rough too, takes a lot of dodging. Once you get Arcane Singularity it'll be a breeze. You should have I think all the encounter slots unlocked, plus the bonus tab spot. I put chill strike on tab, so it does extra damage and freezes them almost instantly. I use entangling force a lot and I have the (forget the name) the chill/freeze cyclone which does great AOE damage over time.

For the mouse buttons I use the ones I started with, the 3 shot arcane one boosts your arcane stacks which (I believe) effects your entangling force in a good way plus being able to freeze people with the frost beam is a bonus, though it does root you.

Once you can swap your frost AOE blast from daily for arcane singularity I'd do it. Singularity is an awesome move, and it's even more amazing in PvP, you'll see why Wink

Pretty much everything Gorbag said.

My CW is currently using the frost aura ability in the tab slot, chill strike, entangling force, and the force push with Arcane Singularity as my daily. I'm currently using magic missile and the level 20 frost at-will ability. I'm going down the control path.

My current setup has my arcane stacks affecting my frost spells. So for PvP I weave in arcane stacks, making all of my frost spells stronger, especially that frost aura ability. Full arcane stacks + frost aura + singularity is a TON of AoE DPS and CC. The force push is definitely a must for PvP for me so far. I will single-handily take control points because of this ability. It's also great for confused rogues trying to burst you down. I've found most CW's don't use this ability, so a lot of players get really disoriented when I cast it on them.

I would not recommend the force push for PvE though.

Yeah, no one noticed singularity in PvP. part of the reason (this happened to me) is it's above your character, so you can't see it. All you can tell is the sound it makes, but it blends into background combat noises rather easily. It's great for PvE boss fights too. When adds spawn (usually 10+) you use it to gather them up and the melee DPS stand under the singularity and just spam AoEs, the adds drop really fast.

Chill Strike in the mastery slot helped a lot because it almost one hits the weak minions if they are close to the target. Really the only issue for me now is if there are more than one tough mob. And yes I like AS also. I think I am level 17 now.

Yeah, now it shouldn't be that bad either because you have a companion. From this point on you'll just roll through most stuff. Companion can take one strong, you can CC other. Around level 20 and on CWs get a lot of survivability, I guess it goes with the quests and what gets thrown at you.

I stopped playing my cleric yesterday at level 24 or 25.

FWIW I intend to play once I get my new gaming machine but I'm still not sure when that will be (waiting to see what kind of effect Haswell will have on the market).

This really helps (particularly if trying to spot rogues in PvP as they are sneaking up to backstab you!):

Go into \Cryptic Studios\Neverwinter\Live\Localdata and open the Gameprefs.Pref with notepad. Edit the *PrefEntry GfxSettings.DefaultFov* to 70 (the default is 55).

You can also use a console command from in-game:

/gfxSetDefaultFOV 70 (or whatever value you want)

checking in - level 51 guardian fighter. still guildless Smile let's get a date/time established so we can form the guild?

I'm pretty committed to this game - spent some real money on zen for mount and founder pack. the gameplay is pretty good - looking forward to checking out some of the other classes. GF is pretty darn good fun factor benchmark.

I was playing pretty regularly until Avast started seeing the exe. file as malware and deleting all the files every time I tried to open the game. I found a few threads on the issue, but none of the fixes worked for me.

How long ago was this? I recall them having a problem with Avast but fixing it a week or two ago. Might be a new problem. AV is the bane of gaming Razz
