The first name should preferably be short, and "sound" Irekei in tone. It may have no more than one apostrophe (preferably none), and may not contain any other punctuation or any alt-key characters. The first letter of each name must be capitalized.
It may not be a recognizable word in English or any other commonly-understood language. It may not be a recognizable name from history or literature, have 3 or more of the same letter in a row, or otherwise be immersion-breaking in any way.
First names should also not be common words in Irekei; this creates too much possibility for confusion. You may not use P'reklabhar, Jallkroda, or any other famous names from the lore.
Clever misspellings of non-compliant names are not allowed: Vha Jy'Nha can find another guild.
Last names may include apostrophes, may be (much) longer, and are encouraged but not required to be a descriptive word in High Irekei. Players are not required to have a last name.
Follow normal capitalization rules in surnames: capitalize the first letter of each word or at least each important word; don't capitalize random internal letters.
Do not form a phrase or sentence with your first and last names combined. Last names should be names, not titles or epithets; "Qhe Jallular" or "ov qhe Qirakar" are not names. Names should not contain pronouns such as Nu, Nha, Lak, or Dek.
If you're not sure whether the name you're thinking of will be approved, post here for a yea or nay from a guild officer. Names previously approved in the Treachery branch, or which you are confident meet all of the rules above, do not need to be posted for approval.
